From solo parenting to founding a tech startup, I’ve learned that growth isn’t a straight line—it’s messy, raw, and beautifully transformative. It’s about breaking free, breaking through, and emerging stronger than before.
After an earlier pregnancy loss and infertility challenges, I finally became pregnant—only to experience discrimination at work. The emotional toll was profound, leaving me isolated, unseen, and undervalued. I left my role, uncertain of the future, but certain I couldn’t stay in an environment that didn’t support me.
In 2010, I moved to Australia from the UK, full of ambition and excited for a fresh start. I thrived in my career at one of the world’s top recruitment firms before transitioning to a boutique agency. Life felt predictable and safe—ticking the typical boxes of marriage, planning a family, and having my future mapped out.
That chapter opened my eyes to the silent struggles many women face as they navigate pregnancy, parenthood, and the workplace. I began coaching women going through similar transitions—feeling disconnected, disengaged, or dismissed by their employers. Many professional women felt forgotten, undervalued, or as if they no longer mattered.
I saw an opportunity to help women maintain their professional identities and feel supported during one of life’s most significant transitions. I realised this wasn’t just a women’s issue—it was a workplace issue, a leadership issue, and a human issue.
Fueled by this vision, I founded triiyo—a technology platform designed to foster connection and support employees navigating life’s transitions, starting with parental leave. As a single parent to a three-year-old, I worked late nights and juggled recruitment consulting to fund the early days of my startup.
In 2018, I joined BlueChilli, an accelerator program that gave me the tools and network to bring triiyo to life. By 2019, we launched a pilot program for four corporate clients, becoming the first gender-neutral parental leave platform in Australia. I wanted to ensure that every family, in all its forms, felt seen and supported.
But like all good journeys, there were twists. When the pandemic hit, the world as we knew it shifted overnight. Businesses struggled, people felt disconnected, and uncertainty was everywhere. It forced me to pivot triiyo to expand beyond parental leave.
By 2021, we secured venture capital and rebuilt into a SaaS platform to become a comprehensive connectivity solution for all work-life transitions—to empower workplaces to prioritise human connection during times of change. Because change is inevitable, but feeling unsupported shouldn’t be. It was a dream realised.
After five transformative (and often humbling!) years, I made the difficult decision to close triiyo in late 2024. With a slow economy and scaling challenges, I knew it was time to let go and step into a new chapter. The experience of building triiyo as a solo founder during a global pandemic and one of the toughest economic periods in history taught me so much —not just about business, but about myself.
With this newfound clarity, I’ve returned to my roots, combining the lessons of my journey with 25 years of spiritual practices, my certifications in executive coaching, energy healing, mindfulness, and breathwork, and my deep commitment to helping others transform their lives.
Today, I work with founders, entrepreneurs, leaders, and seekers to help them elevate their inner game for exponential growth in their outer world.
